The first film was followed by three sequels: Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, released on December 23, 2009, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, released on December 16, 2011 and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, released on December 18, 2015.
